I recently found Emily Ley and am just smitten. She's a true southerner and her business reflects that. It's focused on making people more focused and organized, while making them genuinely happier.

Just looking at her blog and website make me happier- I don't need the products. But letsbehonest for a quick second and admit that I always need products. I especially need products that make me organized, happy, and support a small southern business. What more could you ask for?!

Here are a few of my favorites!

The Joy is in the Journey Extra Large Desk Pad : Perfect to jot a few things down on, doodle while you're on the phone, or a to-do list. I know I'll be ordering this for myself!

Grace, Not Perfection Print Poster : What an empowering quote. Southern Belles are all about grace. No one is perfect. Hold yourself to the standard of being gracious and as fabulous as you can be, and that's all He asks for. 

Monogrammed Tray : Such a versatile piece- Great for perfumes, mail table, bedside table, desk, the list goes on and on! 

iPhone Case : I know- what small online business doesn't sell iPhone cases? But I love this one. I've ever seen it before and the colors remind me of summer AND the holidays (hello, perfection!). 

Oatmeal Lace Clutch  : How lovely is this? I love the polka dots and of course the monogram!

Finally, the Simplified Planner! I don't use it, I have my Lilly one, but I'm just dying to check this one out. It seems significantly more useful than any MomAgenda I've ever seen. More custom, prettier, and easier to utilize. I think Emily really outdid herself- she came up with a product I'm sure some of y'all use and love!

Oh my goodness.

I'm back and I'm never leaving again. I checked my google stats since I've been on hiatus and y'all have kept coming back- bless y'all!


I appreciate all your sweet emails asking where I've been. I have nothing better to offer other than I have been crazy busy. It's felt like one thing after another these past few months- perhaps my first post will be some organization tips ;)

Worst Blogger Ever Award

Is there an award for being the worst blogger ever? Because I think I might win that.

The past few weeks have been crazy- here's a quick overview.

-I house sat. For a week, for the fattest dog ever.

- I found out Monday that I was leaving Thursday for Marthas Vineyard (I know, the north, it was terrifying) for a week.

-I spend an incredible week in Marthas Vineyard with great friends and amazing fellowship.

- I come home.

-I start sailing.

-And, just earlier today, I found out I got an internship I've been dying for. It's going to make this semester absolutely crazy pants for me- but I'm up for the challenge :)

So, we're back to regular (sort of) postings and your normally scheduled blog.

Etsy Store in the Spotlight: The Southern Monogram

Hey y'all!

So for the first post in this little series, I'm featuring The Southern Monogram. Even the store name has two of my favorite things included!

First off, my absolute favorite thing in the shop- a monogrammed sweatshirt. Perfect for cold summer nights, or cold winter days!

I think I'm more of a fan of the monogram on the side, rather than smack dap in the middle. What do y'all think? 

Next up, a monogrammed pocket tee. 

I'm totally crushing on the seersucker. Too cute. Awesome for running around doing errands with some norts!

I love this. I've never seen a monogrammed sports bra before, but I'm smitten. If you're one of those lucky girls who doesn't feel too subconscious about running in norts and a sports bra- this is a total must have. 

Finally, this monogrammed bow. The houndstooth makes it simply precious. 

This has been a monogram heavy post, but hey- who doesn't love a good monogram?!

Moving Away Present

One of my good friends is moving away. Well, not for good- she is studying abroad for the year. Needless to say, I'm gonna miss her. She is having a going away party of sorts, and I knew I had just had to get her something to remind her of home. So naturally, I turned to Etsy. I figured I could find at least some inspiration- and I like to think I came up with a super cute idea.

Get this: An engraved necklace with the coordinate points of our hometown.

4th of July Nails

These look crazy complicated- I certainly couldn't do it! 

I think they might have used the Sally Hansen Salon Effects. I have used them once with a gold sparkle (Glitz Blitz- 260), and really liked them! Seems easy enough. 

Looks like the Texas flag- love it!
